An Akron teen was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly assaulting a store clerk and stealing vapes. 

Police say it happened just after 8:30pm at the Valley Smoke Shop on Merriman Road, with the 22-year-old clerk saying that two men tried to buy some vape products but wouldn’t show their IDs. The clerk decided to deny the sale because she said they appeared underage. That's when one of the teens jumped the counter and punched her in the face before stealing several vapes and fleeing. 

Using a description of the teens and their vehicle police were able to track one of the suspects down and arrested the 16-year-old boy on robbery charges.
