A fourth suspect has now been charged in connection with the shooting death of 8 year old MiKayla Pickett of Akron, and with the injury of another girl, who was 14 at the time.

They were caught in a hail of bullets during a backyard birthday party, outside a home on Roselle Avenue in Akron's Sherbondy Hill neighborhood, in 2020.

Police have been looking for18 year old Jaevon Suggs since a warrant was issued for his arrest in April. They found him on Friday, when he was arrested at a house on Nester Street in Akron by US Marshals, and other members of the Northeastern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.

Three other suspects are also charged in connection with the crime. They are 22 year old Robert Scott, 21 year old Emahni Thomas, and 37 year old Dante Farmer, who was already in jail on unrelated charges.
