The Humane Society in Mansfield is now caring for an additional 80 dogs that were rescued from a home in Richland County over the weekend.
As News3 reports the dogs were discovered after a sheriff heard an unusual amount of barking coming from a residence. The officer found the dogs living in filthy conditions, including more than 13 dogs stacked in cages in a horse trailer.
The Richland County Sheriff’s office is investigating the situation, while the Humane Society of Richland County is asking for donations to help care for the animals.
