A 27 year old woman is behind bars in Akron on charges of murder and felonious assault, for allegedly shooting 27 year old Brandon Colter, of Akron, near the intersection of 27th Street SW, and Carey Avenue at around 6:30 last evening (Wednesday, May 24).
Police say the suspect, Kaelyn Smith, and Colter got into an argument at a home on Kohler Avenue, and then after he and a companion drove away; she allegedly followed them, and fired shots into their car.
The Summit County Medical Examiner's office has ruled Colter's death a homicide, and after completing an autopsy; they have determined the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and neck.
