One Dead, Two Wounded In South Akron Gun Battle Featured

Three men were shot, and one of them died, after an argument escalated into a shootout in South Akron, a little before noon on Monday, May 22.
 
Police say they found two men injured outside a house in the 14 hundred block of South Main Street, and another man, who had also been shot, in the 40 block of East Emerling Street.
 
One of the victims— identified as 29 year old Darius Hoisten, of Barberton—died from his injuries later, at the hospital, and the Summit County Medical Examiner has ruled his death a homicide.
 
The other two; a 25 year old man, and a 26 year old man, sustained non life-threatening injuries.
