Akron Police are inviting the public to attend their annual Memorial Service, honoring 27 Akron police officers and one Kenmore Deputy Marshal who died in the line of duty, tomorrow, Wed. May 10, at 11:00AM. 

The Akron Police Honor Guard will be on hand, along with the Cleveland Police Ceremonial Unit. Flowers will be presented to the family members of the fallen officers, there will be a 21 gun salute, and taps.

They are also offering a special tribute this year to Officers Kenneth Jones, and Edward Stewart, whose names were added to the memorials in front of the Akron Police Station, the State Memorial in London, Ohio, and in Washington, DC.

Refreshments will be served after the ceremony, which will be held at the FOP Lodge 7, at Wolter Park, 2610 Ley Drive, Akron, Ohio 44319.
