Akron police are investigating a shooting outside the Weathervane Playhouse in the Merriman Valley, that occurred early Saturday morning, May 6, leaving the victim in the hospital with "life threatening" injuries.
So far, they're unclear on what led to the shooting, but they say the 40 year old male victim showed up at the Cleveland Clinic-Akron General Medical Health & Wellness Center in Bath, but was later life-flighted to the Cleveland Clinic-Akron General Medical Center in Akron.
Police say he was accompanied by a a 32 year old man who appeared to have been in some sort of an altercation, and that witnessess told them they saw people in two cars—one of them belonging to the victim—shooting at each other in the Playhouse parking lot.
