A special event for local readers and writers as the Akron-Summit County Library hosts the inaugural Akron Book Fest this Saturday.

The event will feature book giveaways and over 50 writers from the local community will be signing, selling, and discussing their work. The day will include several roundtable discussions on topics like the writing process, protecting your work, and self publishing. 

The Wick Poetry Center will offer a workshop and an interactive story trail activity will be available for young readers. 

The event will take place from 12pm to 3pm at the Main Library Branch in downtown Akron and is free and open to the public.
