A normal school year would set to begin about a month from now. But as everyone knows, this will not be a normal school year.
Akron Public Schools superintendent David James provided an update to where the district is as far as face-to-face or virtual learning. Among the many hurdles facing schools has been children being carriers of this coronavirus, and that has been a major concern for teachers and administrators. So according to James, the district is leaning towards starting the scholastic year 100% virtually.
The superintendent also touched on the state of fall sports and extracurriculars with a virtual semester, and other guidelines the faculty will have to follow.
