This week, the future of mobility and sustainability, both here on earth, and in outer space.
Our featured guests are WWJ Radio, Detroit, Automotive Expert, Jeff Gilbert, and Bob Woloszynek, who is the Chief Engineer of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company's Raw Materials Development Team.
Jeff gives us some background on why Ford is spending close to a billion dollars to build a plant in Detroit, where they will build the new all electric, F-150 Lightening.
But Ford isn't the only automaker going electric, as we also hear from CBS News Correspondent, Monica Rix, who has a report on a new GM-Lockheed Martin collaboration on a new electric Lunar vehicle, which may also one day be used on Mars.
Goodyear, meanwhile, is adding their fourth line of consumer tires using soybean oil. It is part of their ongoing move away from petroleum-based oils, and toward more sustainable manufacturing. Listen now, to find out why.
