The Summit County jail inmate who slipped away from Sheriff's custody while they were taking him to a doctor's appointment recently, has been sentenced to 18 to 25.5 years in prison, on a number of charges, including Escape.

Summit County Common Pleas Court Judge, Susan Baker Ross, sentenced 39 year old Akron resident, Jason Conrad, of Crestwwod Ave., after he plead guilty to Trafficking in Cocaine, Having Weapons Under Disability, Unlawful Posession of Dangerous Ordinance, and Escape.

He was arrested on the drug and weapons charges on April 21, and briefly escaped custody, on May 30.

US Marshals and local police caught up with him the next day, as he was riding a bike on some train tracks in West Akron.
