Summit M.E. Looking for IDs on Two Crash Victims Featured

The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office is still looking for the public's help identifying two of the four victims in Monday morning's deadly crash at Goodyear Boulevard and Kelly Avenue in Akron.

Two of the victims have been ID'ed, according to the report. 29-year-old Colleen Wood from Akron, who was driving the car that hit a wall, and then a pole before bursting into flames.

The front passenger was 29-year-old Alex Jay Lester from Ravenna. Thursday, the M.E.'s office released more of a description of the two victims who were riding in the back seat.

This is an update regarding the traffic fatality that occurred on 12/3/2018 near the intersection of Goodyear Blvd. and Kelly Ave. in Akron.

Two of the deceased occupants have been positively identified.  They were Colleen A. Wood, a 29 year-old female from Malasia Road in Akron and Alex Jay Lester, a 29 year old male from Merrill Road in Ravenna.

The two back seat passengers are still unidentified.

  1. Caucasian Male

Approximately 5 feet, 11 inches and weighing approximately 228 pounds

Victim appears to be in his twenties or thirties

Victim has a metal plate in his left jaw.

  1. African American Male

Approximately 5 feet, 5 inches and weighing approximately 106 pounds

Victim has a dental bridge on his upper front teeth

Victim appears to be a small framed and slim African American Male, possibly a adolescent.
