Local "Drugstore" Owner NOT on "Cloud 9"

Written by

A local mom and pop "drugstore" next to Summa Akron City Hospital is closed for the foreseeable future after a raid by Akron Police Narcotics agents earlier this week.

The Akron Beacon Journal is reporting that police seized marijuana, edibles, CBD oil, cocaine, and a handgun during the raid at "Cloud 9 Herbal Gallery."

Lt. Rick Edwards with APD told the Beacon that resident filed multiple complaints about the store that advertised on Facebook, offering "everything you need to... elevate yourself."

DeShawn Stafford, who's registered on the lease of the building, is already in Summit County Jail on cocaine trafficking charges.

Another employee of the store was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and drug trafficking. A warrant has been issued for another woman on drug charges as well.
