Copley Township Police Officers will be equipped with body cameras soon, after the board of trustees approved the measure at Tuesday's meeting.
The Township has entered a five-year deal with Motorola Solutions to buy 30 cameras at more than $45,000 the first year, which will be paid for by the funds in a law enforcement trust fund. The next four years of the contract are for nearly $19,000 per year.
The department employes 30 total officers, including 23 full time, all of whom will be equipped with cameras that record video and audio.
