This week's athletes are from Ellet High School.
Caitlyn Holmes is a Junior on the Girls Basketball team. Her accomplishments include: Akron City Series Player of the Year in Women’s basketball, All City First Team, and she recently led Ellet to third consecutive City Series championship. A couple of weeks ago, she broke the 1,000 points career mark. Caitlyn is a vocal leader on the court and a great teammate. She also shines in the classroom and has verbally committed to play basketball at Kent State University.
Cameron Hinkle is a Senior and a Linebacker for the Football team. His accomplishments on the field include: Akron City Series First team, All Inland Second Team, over 100 tackles during his senior season, Ellet “Orange Helmet” recipient for his performance, leadership, and being a great teammate, and Ellet defensive player of the year. Cameron is accomplished in the classroom as well. He is on the Honor Roll and is in the National Honors Society.
