This week's athletes are from Barberton High School.

Mary Krege is a senior and a member of the Varsity BHS Girls’ Bowling Team. She has been a key member of the team the last two seasons and is one of the leaders on this year’s team that is currently 5 – 1 overall. Mary is in the Advancement to Nursing Program and carries a Cumulative 4.16 GPA. She is actively involved in the activities at BHS and in the Barberton Community. She can often be seen at BHS sports activities taking photographs on behalf of the school and showing her musical skills at Kave in downtown Barberton. BHS Bowling Coach Ed Sitko had this to say about Mary – “Mary is one of the leaders on our team not just because of her skill, but also because she leads by example in school and at bowling. Looking forward to seeing a strong finish to her HS career in the regular season and postseason.”

Ben Huth is a senior and a member of the Varsity BHS Boys’ Basketball Team which he has lettered in during his high school career for two seasons. He has been a key member of the team the last three seasons and is one of the leaders on this year’s team on and off the floor. Ben has played a variety of positions during his HS career, but always puts the team first in everything he does on and off the floor. Ben also knocks it out in the classroom as he carries a 3.87 Cumulative GPA. BHS Basketball Coach Kyle McBride had this to say about Ben – “Ben is one of those players that sees what is happening during the course of the game and tries to put his team and teammates in the best possible position to be successful. He has been a joy to coach and watch develop over his four years in high school.”
