Student Athletes of the Week: Carly Wightman & Kyle Smith Featured

The student athletes for this week hail from Coventry High School, so let us meet our female and male athletes.
Carly Wightman is a three-year letter winner in volleyball in the fall, where she has been the offensive MVP. She was named the 2020 MAC Player of the Year, 2021 Greater Akron High School Sports Awards honoree and finalist, Scholar Athlete, and was named to the Division II All-District First Team. In the spring, she is a member of the track and field team, and plans on becoming a rehabilitation veterinarian after college.
Kyle Smith is a four-year varsity soccer player, and has been a team captain for the last three.He is president of the key club, president of the National Honors Society, and vice president of the senior class. Kyle plans on majoring in biology and playing soccer in college, but he is undecided on where. After college, he has aspirations to become an anesthesiologist.
