After weeks of rancorous political infighting, and worldwide concern that the US could for the first time ever, default on its debts; Congress  passed a bill that raises the nation's debt ceiling, and President Biden says will sign it.

But, was it worth all the hysteria, backbiting, political bickering, and overarching doom and gloom that preceded the eventual agreement?

Well...yes.  Could we have done with a whole lot less drama? Well...yes. That too.
