Every Month, Ray Horner of WAKR will sit down and conduct in person interviews with Akron dignitaries of the past and present in Horner's Corner. In this premiere episode, Ray talks with Eric Mansfield. Mansfield is known as an award winning broadcast journalist with WKYC-TV (NBC-Cleveland), for his two years as a reporter-anchor with WAKC-TV (ABC Akron), and so much more. He is a retired Major with the U.S. Army and the Ohio Army National Guard with deployments to Iraq, Hurricane Katrina, Central America and others during a 20-year military career. He earned his master's degree in public relations from Kent State in 2012, and he earned bachelor's degrees in journalism and broadcasting from the University of Dayton. In addition to his other accomplishments, Mansfield has added the title playwright to his resume.
