Akron Police say a woman was shot and injured in a road rage incident on Saturday, September 20, just before 4 PM.
It happened on South Hawkins Ave., when a woman erratically driving a silver Mercedes-Benz, started honking her horn at a man who was driving southbound. When he got out of his car to see what the problem was; police say, the woman pointed a gun at him. So, he got back into his car and drove away, but she followed and started shooting; shattering his back window.
But it didn’t end there.
The man’s 32 year old wife was also on the road at the time, diving in a separate car, and the woman who had just shot out her husband’s back window, then fired into her passenger side window, hitting her in the shoulder.
At that point, they both drove home to Morley Avenue, and contacted police. Paramedics also responded, and took the injured woman to the hospital, where she was treated for what are believed to be non life-threatening wounds.
Today, police say they that while they have identified the suspect; no charges have been filed yet, and they’re asking anyone with information to contact them.
