Akron police are investigating a double homicide following a welfare check on the city’s west side.
According to the Akron Police Department, officers were called to the 200 block of Casterton Avenue around 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 6. When officers arrived, they found a 39-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives say the two were married, and the case is being investigated as a domestic-related homicide.
No additional details about suspects or circumstances have been released.
