It was quite a weekend at the Akron Zoo, where their new Dinosaur theme exhibit brought in so many visitors–7,336– that they set a new attendance record for general admission tickets on Sunday, May 11. Zoo officials say their previous general admission record was set on Monday, Feb. 20, 2017 with 7,332 guests.
Free Mother’s Day admission for Moms and Grandmas also helped boost attendance.
The new DinoTrek experience, which features 20 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs located throughout the zoo and runs through Sept. 14.
