This week’s athletes are from Ellet High School.
Rylie Sprouse, is a senior on Ellet’s Softball team. She was selected for Northeast Ohio Underclassmen All-Star Team for Sophomore and Junior Year, was First Team All City 2023, Second Team All City 2x’s 2022 and 2024, Nominated for Akron Beacon Journal Player of the Week, Scholar Athlete Award 2022, 2023, 2024, and lettered 2022,2023,and 2024. Rylie excels off the field as well. She has been Chosen for National Honor Society , is part of the Student Council. Student of the month x2, has a 4.8 GPA, Class Rank: 1/213, and she is estimated to graduate with 39 college credits.
Joshua Sims is a Senior at Ellet High School. Joshua has been a varsity athlete for both baseball and golf. He will be a three year letter winner in baseball and last year was voted to the All City Series second team at catcher. Joshua has an overall gpa of 3.4 and is the student service manager of the automotive pathway at Ellet, he handles all the scheduling of service and orders all parts needed. After high school, Joshua plans to attend college and major in communications or business.
