The Student Athlete of the Week segment is powered by NECA-IBEW and Akron Children’s Hospital.

This week’s athletes are from Firestone CLC.

 

Matt Cymerman, a junior at Firestone Community Learning Center (CLC), is the co-captain of the Firestone Boys Swim Team, along with being a two-year letter winner. He has his eyes on the District Championship in 100 fly and 100 breast. Matt carries a 3.97 cumulative GPA, taking Advanced Placement classes and College Credit Plus courses at The University of Akron.

 

Sarah Schueler is a multi-sport athlete. She is a multi-year letter winner in Cross Country, swimming and track. Sarah also excels in the classroom and is an IB student.
