This week’s athletes are from Wadsworth High School.
Maggie Gerschutz is a junior cross-country runner at Wadsworth High School. A three-year varsity standout, Maggie led the Grizzlies to a 4th-place finish at the State meet and their third straight Suburban League Championship. She set a new school record this season with a time of 18:02, ranking her 27th in the state. In addition, her 10th-place finish at the State meet was the highest by a Wadsworth female runner since 1980. Off the course, Maggie excels in the classroom with a 4.18 GPA and contributes to the community through the HUDDLE leadership program.

Gavin Madigan, a Senior at Wadsworth High School, is a 3 time Team Captain of the football team (1st in school history). Gavin is a 4 Year Letter Winner and the Suburban League Offensive Player of the Year (2025). His accomplishments on the field include 3x All Ohio Division 2 and 3x Suburban League 1st Team. Gavin excels off the field as well with a Cumulative GPA: 4.26. Gavin is an Army Football Commit.
