Looking for a wedding venue that’s a little more awesome than traditional?

Akron Municipal Court is partnering with the newly opened Bricks & Minifigs in Fairlawn to host off-site weddings where couples will say their vows under a custom arch made entirely of LEGO bricks.

The special wedding event happens Monday, March 2 from noon to 1 p.m. at Bricks & Minifigs in Rosemont Commons on West Market Street.

Akron Municipal Court Judge Ron Cable will serve as officiant, making this a fully official ceremony, just in a very colorful setting.

Appointments are first-come, first-served and must be scheduled and paid for in advance. Couples will still need to get their marriage license from the Summit County Probate Court beforehand and pay the required ceremony fee at Akron Municipal Court.

The Fairlawn location of Bricks & Minifigs opened just last month. The franchise, officially recognized by LEGO as a reseller, has more than 300 stores nationwide, but this might be one of the only ones hosting weddings under a LEGO arch.

Whether you’re a lifelong LEGO fan or just want a unique story to tell for years to come, this might be the most creative way to build a life together.

Because honestly, why not start your marriage with a solid foundation of bricks?
