Mayor Malik presented a Safety Forces Charter Amendment to the City Council earlier this week. He joined Jeanne Destro on the Ray Horner Morning Show to discuss the amendment that would allow the city to have a broader candidate pool for Akron’s police and fire leadership positions and expand eligibility for internal candidates. If approved by City Council, the amendment would be on the ballot for Akron residents on November 5th.
