For our Student Athlete of the Week program, we head way out east on US-224 and go to Mogodore High School. Carley is a 4-year letter winner in softball and basketball. For softball, she was voted First Team All-PTC as a sophomore. Carley is 2nd place for school record RBIs with 37, and 3rd place for career-high batting average. She was voted Honorable Mention WTCBCA for basketball her sophomore and junior years, as well as The Record Courier's pick for All-Glue for the Lady Cats as a sophomore. Carley also won a Silver Certificate for Academics from the OHSCCA her junior year. She has maintained Honor Roll throughout her high school career. Upon graduation, Carley hopes to continue her basketball career at the collegiate level and pursue a degree in Veterinary Science. Tristen is a 3 year starter for the Wildcats Football team, twice earning First Team All-League, First Team All-District, and All-State honors. Tristen was also chosen as team captain by his coaches his senior year. Tristen has excelled academically as well, earning Honor Roll each year of high school. Upon graduation, Tristen plans to continue his football career at Notre Dame College. The Student Athlete of the Week segment is powered by NECA-IBEW and Akron Children’s Hospital.
