For our Student Athlete of the Week program, we head to Ellet CLC, where many of the region’s games in the fall took place during the pandemic. Cameron Tucker is a junior on the Lady Orangemen soccer team, and she is also a team captain. She helped lead her team to an 11-1 record on the season, capturing their third-straight City Series title and the school’s first ever state playoff victory. Individually, Cameron is the program’s all-time leader in assists, and has made the All-District second team for the second-consecutive year. She carries a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. Seth Young is also a 4.0 student, and he is a member of the cross country team at Ellet. He is a part of the NJROTC, the Young Scholars Program, the LeBron James Family Foundation, Jobs for Ohio Graduates, and is an Ellet CLC ambassador. After graduation, Seth plans on joining the United States Naval Academy to become a Navy Officer. The Student Athlete of the Week report is powered by NECA-IBEW and Akron Children’s Hospital.
