COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations are up across the board, from the counties and communities in the state of Ohio throughout the rest of the United States. In fact, a record 216 hospitalizations occurred in one day in Ohio, the highest since the pandemic began.

Jim Krasula of CBS News has followed the coronavirus pandemic since the get-go, and he joined the Ray Horner Morning Show to give a national look at this new spread. Krasula believes the factors for the increase range from formal to informal gatherings to people letting their guards down. He mentioned Dr. Anthony Fauci’s suggestion of virtual options for the holidays this year.

The award-winning CBS News correspondent also talked about the continued travel restrictions in some areas, and the possibility of another lockdown.
