Akron’s non-profit Bounce Innovation Hub, which serves Northeast Ohio entrepreneurs, innovators, and startups, is announcing leadership changes.
Douglas Weintraub, who was the organization’s first Chief Executive officer from 2018-2022, and who spent the last three years on their Board of Directors, has been named the Chairman of that Board.

Hans Dorfi, who has been their Board Chair for the past four years, is stepping down, and in a statement released today, says he is “proud of what Bounced has accomplished” and that he “looks forward to continuing to support the organization in this next chapter”.
Laura Bennet, entrepreneur and co-founder of Embrace Pet Insurance, has been elected Vice Chair of the Board, and will “play a key role” in supporting Bounce’s strategic priorities moving forward.
Bounce CEO Jessica Sublett, says “We are extremely grateful for Hans’ leadership, excited to welcome Laura into an expanded role, and confident I Doug’s ability to guide the Board as Bounce continues to grow.”
