Winter fun is just gettign started in downtown Akron. Lock 3 is keeping the ice busy with Winterblast, a lineup of cold-weather attractions and events running through Feb. 16.

Visitors can enjoy classic ice skating, rent ice bikes, or take a spin on ice bumper cars, available Wednesday through Sunday. Most skating sessions don’t require reservations, while bumper car times can be booked online.

January also brings several special events, including the Snowball Crawl on Jan. 10 and Frost Fest on Jan. 24, featuring ice sculptures, live entertainment, and seasonal treats throughout downtown.

College students can save on skating during weekly College ID Nights, and downtown residents can take advantage of discounted skate days.
