Suspect in Akron Ride-Share Murder Arrested Featured

The Summit County Medical Examiner has identified the man who was shot and killed while working for a ride-share company Sunday afternoon.
 
According to the report, Kristopher Rourkey, 48 from Hudson, was shot near the intersection of East Market Street and Buchtel Avenue just before 5 p.m. Sunday. Rourkey died at Akron City Hospital shortly after the shooting.
 
Not long after the, police identified Kahyl Powe, 23, as the suspect and arrested him just blocks away from where the shooting happened at an apartment on Buchtel. U.S. Marshals say they recovered a gun during the arrest.
