Although the Akron police bomb squad didn’t find any explosives yesterday; they did find a big mess, allegedly left by the 11 year old vandal who scrawled the words “I have bombs” on a white board at the school.

That’s what prompted yesterday’s transfer of students from the school at 1999 East Avenue, to Garfield CLC on Brown Street, where they were sheltered in the auditorium until their parents came to pick them up.

Today, cleanup is underway to repair the damage the boy allegedly caused, and he’s reportedly facing criminal charges after being arrested by Akron police.
