A number of local law enforcement agencies worked together with the FBI to arrest seven men on various child sex related charges, as part of what they’re calling “Operation Unsportsmanlike Conduct”.
According to the Jackson Township Police Department, the men all face felony charges, and were booked into the in the Stark County Jail.
- Edmund Starr, 38 years old, Broadview Heights
- Ryan Strouse, 37 years old, Massillon
- Michael Chaffee, 66 years old, Wadsworth
- Jacob Bauer, 48 years old, Massillon
They are charged with Importuning (F-5), Attempt to Commit Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a minor (F-5), Possessing Criminal Tools (F-5)
In addition:
- Andres Gallardo, 44 years old, Cleveland, was charged withImportuning (F-3)
Attempt to Commit Rape (F-2)
Possessing Criminal Tools (F-5)
The following two offenders were arrested and charged with Importuning( F-5), Attempt to Commit Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a minor (F-5) and Possessing Criminal Tools (F-5).
It was determined they were in th United States illegally and were referred to the Department of Homeland Security Enforcement and Removal Operations for deportation:
- Mustafa Cakar, 24 years old, Pittsburgh, PA
- Alberto Perez, 28 years old, Canton
In addition to Jackson Township Police, other local law enforcement agencies involved in the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force ooperation, include the the Massillon Law Department, Streetsboro, Toledo, Louisville, Perry and Beachwood Police Departments, and the Stark and Portage County Sheriff’s Departments.
