Akron Police are asking area residents to be on the lookout for a Silver Chevy Malibu with front end damage, after someone driving that car struck a woman in a crosswalk in the city’s Summit Lake neighborhood just after midnight, on Saturday.

They left the 43 year old woman lying in the street, and by the time police got to the intersection ofWest South Street and Lakeshore Boulevard; she was dead.
