Akron police are continuing to investigate a domestic-related homicide that left a 33-year-old man dead this week.

Officers were called to a home on White Pine Drive Tuesday night, where they found Christopher Butler of Akron suffering from a gunshot wound.

Investigators say Butler was visiting his girlfriend, Candace Jackson, 44, when the two got into an argument.

Police say a gun was retrieved and discharged, killing Butler.

Jackson has been charged with reckless homicide and is being held in the Summit County Jail as the investigation continues.
