The Ohio State Highway Patrol has identified the victim in a fatal four-vehicle crash that happened last month in Stark County.
Troopers say the crash happened on Dec. 18, 2025, around 4:57 p.m., on U.S. Route 30 in Osnaburg Township.
According to investigators, a Ford Escort involved in the crash caught fire, and the driver could not initially be identified at the scene. The Stark County Coroner’s Office later confirmed the driver was Joshua Smothers, 38, of Canton.
