Ravenna police are investigating an aggravated robbery that left a man injured early Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to an apartment on West Main Street around 6:45 a.m. after a 33-year-old man reported he’d been assaulted. Police say the victim had visible injuries and told them he was attacked after spending the night at the apartment. He reported two people assaulted him and stole about $400 cash and his cellphone.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

As the investigation continued, Metro SWAT was called in. Around noon, officers surrounded the apartment, issued verbal commands, and deployed two distraction devices. The suspects then came out and were taken into custody without further incident.

Police identified the suspects as 30-year-old Jasman Al-Shwqiyqt of Ravenna and 24-year-old Sebastian Facemire of Akron.
