If Ohioans could pick the next Hallmark Christmas movie setting, three hometown favorites rise to the top.
A new holiday survey from travel company Exoticca asked more than 3,000 people which real-life towns most deserve their own Hallmark-style Christmas movie. Ohio’s top pick? Geneva-on-the-Lake, thanks to its cozy lakefront charm, twinkling lights, and festive markets that make it feel like a winter romance waiting to happen.
Coming in second is Hudson, where historic architecture, Main Street shops, and holiday events like Christkindlmarkt create a picture-perfect small-town holiday backdrop.
Third is Yellow Springs, known for its artsy downtown, glowing lights, boutique shops, and quirky charm that sets the stage for a sweet, feel-good storyline.
The nationwide list also included postcard-worthy favorites like Blue Ridge, Georgia; Frankenmuth, Michigan; Cape May, New Jersey; and Leavenworth, Washington.
Exoticca says these towns capture the exact mix of warmth, nostalgia, and community spirit that people associate with classic Hallmark holiday movies.
