Akron Police are asking for tips to help them find out who shot a 17-year-old boy who was walking down Yeager Way South, near downtown Akron, with a 15-year-old friend, late Friday morning, Nov. 21.

Police say the two teens ran for help to a nearby corner store, and once police arrived; the shooting victim was immediately taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries.

The suspect, who has not yet been identified, is described only as wearing a mask and a puffy black coat.
