Akron Aviators Hosting Food Drive Friday
The Akron Aviators are teaming up with the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank and Anthem for a special donation drive at their home game this Friday, Nov. 15.
Fans who bring a non-perishable food item will be entered to win Aviators merchandise or a three-day family getaway.
The Aviators host Knoxville Commerce at Innes Community Learning Center, with tip-off at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at AkronAviators.com.
Ride for a Reason with Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad
The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is adding a new twist to its beloved North Pole Adventure™ this year through its Ride for a Reason campaign.
For every ticket sold through Dec. 22, CVSR will donate $5 to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, helping local families enjoy meals this holiday season.
The festive train ride features lights, music, and classic holiday fun — all for a good cause. Tickets are available at CVSR.org.
Ohio 4-H Youth Lead the Way in Fight Against Hunger
Northeast Ohio 4-H members collected nearly 130,000 pounds of food this summer as part of Farm Credit Mid-America’s “Fight Hunger, Stock the Trailer” competition.
Lorain County led the region with over 52,000 pounds, followed by Stark County with 28,000 and Ashland County with 13,000.
Statewide, Ohio 4-H youth broke records, gathering an incredible 448,000 pounds of food for local pantries!
