Akron Police say a 10-year-old was shot in the face and suffered what they described as non-life-threatening injuries on Saturday afternoon at about 12:32 PM.

It happened in the 400 block of Palmetto Avenue, and right now they are not certain whether it was self-inflicted or occurred in some other way.
