New evidence in a very old case has US Marshals once again on the hunt for a killer, and they’re asking for your help.

81 year old Lester Eubanks killed 14 year old Mary Ellen Deener in Mansfield, OH, on November 14, 1965, and was convicted of her murder in 1973. But he escaped from jail, and has been on the run ever since.

Now though, there is some new wind in the sails of Marshals trying to track Eubanks down, and bring him to justice after all these years.

Working with Mansfield Police, and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office, US Marshals Service Cold Case Investigators have recently discovered some previously unrecovered DNA evidence in the clothing Eubanks was wearing the day he murdered Deener–just three months, by the way, after he had been released from jail on bond for attempted rape.

in addition to the new DNA evidence, they’ve come up with an age-progressed photo lineup showing what Eubanks might look like now. This is important, because he hasn’t been spotted since the 1970’s in the Los Angeles area, where he was known in places like Gardena, South Central, Long Beach, and North Hollywood, by the name of “Victor Young”.

They say it is also  possible he worked as a janitor at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, California, in the 1980’s and 1990’s, but he’s been pretty much a ghost since then, dropping off the radar until 2018 when he finally landed on the FBI’s top 15 “Most Wanted” Fugitive list.

Here’s what he could look like now. Have you seen him?
