It must have been a terrifying and painful night for a 39 year old female Uber Driver in Akron last week, when one of the two riders she picked up in the city’s Middlebury neighborhood, grabbed her from behind, demanded money, and shot her six times.

Now, the person who allegedly did it, 18-year-old Jaiden Palmer, is behind bars charged with Felonious Assault and Aggravated Robbery.

Akron Police, along with US Marshals and other members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, caught up with Palmer in the 1900 block of Shaw Avenue, in Goodyear Heights, on Wednesday.

Police found the crime victim shot in the abdomen and arm, in the 500 block of Sanford Avenue last Thursday night, July 17, at 9:24 PM, and they say she is still in the hospital now, in stable condition.
