Akron Police are asking for tips to help them identify two armed men who they believe robbed the PNC Bank branch at 676 East Wilbeth Road in Akron, yesterday afternoon.
They say at about 1:50PM Monday; One suspect brandished a handgun and threatened the on-duty security guard while the second suspect acted as a lookout. The armed suspect then jumped over the counter and pointed the gun at the bank teller while demanding money. The suspects exited the front entrance and fled with $8,000.
Suspect Descriptions:
• Suspect #1 – Armed with handgun. A Black male wearing a black hat,brown curly wig, sports goggle style glasses, light blue long sleeved button up shirt, blue
jeans, and white sneakers.
• Suspect #2 – A Black male wearing a tan bucket hat, white short sleeved shirt with tan and black stripes, baggy tan pants, white sneakers, gold chains, watch on
