Whenever you hear a story about a horrific crime, either in our community or somewhere else in the world; you often hear about the criminal, and wonder why they did it, where they came from, and what’s going to happen to them.

But today, we’re going to think and talk about the victims they leave behind—the families of the dead, the wounded, the traumatized, the survivors—and what people right here in our community are doing to help them.

In recognition of the US Department of Justice National Crime Victims Rights Week, our Morning Show Host, Ray Horner, reached out to Rebecca Cool, who is the Director of Services for Akron’s Victim Assistance Program.
