This week’s athletes are from Woodridge High School.
Dawson Colby is a junior who exemplifies what it means to be a well-rounded student-athlete. Maintaining an impressive 3.7 GPA, Dawson shines both in the classroom and on the court. She is a key member of the volleyball and softball teams, where her energy and positivity make her an outstanding teammate. Beyond athletics, Dawson showcases her leadership and creativity as an active participant in FCCLA and the Dance Team. Known for her boundless enthusiasm and uplifting attitude, Dawson is a role model for her peers and a valued member of the Woodridge community.
Connor Hons is a junior whose dedication and resilience set him apart both academically and athletically. Carrying an impressive 4.3 cumulative GPA, Connor excels in the classroom while also making a significant impact on the field and court. As a standout in track and field, he overcame injuries to become the 2024 league champion in the 300m and 100m hurdles, and he is determined to defend his titles this year while pursuing All-Ohio honors in Columbus. On the basketball court, Connor is a valuable and contributing member of the team, having earned a varsity letter as a sophomore and poised to do so again this season. His hard work, perseverance, and talent make him an exceptional representative of Woodridge High School.
