Two suspects are in jail now, charged with Aggravated Burglary, Murder, and Felonious assault, in connection with a home invasion on Wren Walk in East Akron at around 2:18 this morning (Friday).
Akron Police allege the two men, 25-year-old Gerald Wilson, And 26 year old DeVionne Bigby, broke into the home of 32 year old Douglas Waters, and shot him multiple times, before fleeing the scene.
Wilson, who police say suffered a self-inflicted bullet wound during the incident, was taken to the hospital for treatment before being booked into the SummitCounty jail.
He was arrested on Vernon Odom Boulevard near East Avenue, in Akron’s Sherbondy Hill neighborhood, and Bigby was arrested later, on Ogden Avenue, in Ellet.
