Manly Men Use Moisturizer

Interesting fact: The number of chemical peels, laser hair removal and other cosmetic procedures on MEN is UP 45% over the last decade. Guys, whether they want to admit it or not, are more image-conscious, and marketers know it. That's why we're seeing Weight Watchers ads that use an average guy talking about beer and grilling meat, Dr. Pepper pushing their diet soda with the tagline: "It's not for women," and Dove trying to sell guys moisturizer through TV Western themed commercials.

USA Today has several reasons for the change:

- The skinny jeans that used to be high fashion, are now at men's department stores like Banana Republic and Old Navy.

- Thanks to Facebook, men are constantly confronted with photos of fit male celebrities like Justin Timberlake and Will Smith.

- The economy! With unemployment at around 9%, men are pushing to look as polished as their resume.

Joke Of the Day

A jealous husband hired a private detective to check on the movements of his wife. The husband wanted more than a written report; he wanted video of his wife's activities.

A week later, the detective returned with a video. They sat down together to watch it. Although the quality was less than professional, the man saw his wife meeting another man. He saw the two of them laughing in the park. He saw them enjoying themselves at an outdoor cafe. He saw them dancing in a dimly lit nightclub. He saw the man and his wife participate in a dozen activities with utter glee.

"I just can't believe this," the distraught husband said.

"That your wife is having an affair?" The detective asked.

"No," The husband replied. "I can't believe that my wife could be so much fun!"
